U.S.-Israel Rift

Tensions between the United States and Israel have intensified over the Gaza ceasefire and post-war administrative decisions. According to The Times of Israel, Washington has given Israel a secondary role in the newly established Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) and is reportedly making most key decisions independently.

The center was established under U.S. President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan, which envisions a UN-approved International Stabilization Force (ISF) taking control of Gaza while Israeli forces gradually withdraw.

As per U.S. officials, the ISF will consist of around 20,000 troops with a two-year mandate. Washington, however, will not send its own soldiers, instead seeking participation from Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, the UAE, Indonesia, and Azerbaijan.

Israel has voiced objections to Turkey’s potential involvement, while several Arab countries remain cautious due to fears of direct clashes with Hamas.

The U.S. has reportedly integrated its peace plan into a United Nations resolution, under which Gaza’s administration will eventually be handed over from the Board of Peace to the Palestinian Authority, contingent on successful governance reforms.

Analysts suggest this development marks a shift in influence, with Israel’s role diminishing and the U.S. tightening its control over Gaza’s future.

The United States has confirmed the deployment of around 200 military personnel to Israel as part of a mission to oversee the Gaza ceasefire, coordinate humanitarian aid delivery, and assist with security and logistical operations under a new Civil-Military Coordination Center, U.S. officials said.

According to Arab media reports, the center will operate under the leadership of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and will be established inside Israel, serving as the central hub for monitoring aid distribution, reconstruction projects, and security arrangements in Gaza.

Officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, emphasized that American troops will not enter Gaza. Instead, they will remain in Israel to provide logistical, engineering, planning, and security support to the joint mission.
